Stacey Ibarra, Esq. earned her undergraduate degree, with
Honors, from the University of South Florida in 1995. She was
awarded her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in
1998. While in law school, Stacey was selected as a teaching
fellow and volunteered with the Guardian ad Litem and Domestic
Violence Restraining Order Programs.
Stacey is a member of the Florida Bar and began her legal career
as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting cases including high
profile murders and other serious violent felony cases. While
at the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office, Stacey was chosen to
participate in a pilot program litigating issues involving
Dependency, Termination of Parental Rights, and Adoption. She
was also selected into a specialized unit responsible for
managing and trying sensitive matters such as child abuse,
molestation, and sexual battery.
Stacey went on to serve the Office of the Attorney General as an
Assistant Statewide Prosecutor where she handled a high volume
docket of complex cases throughout the State of Florida. During
her tenure, she was honored with the Office of the Attorney
General’s Distinguished Service Award. Stacey personally
litigated cases involving money laundering, mortgage fraud, bank
and white collar fraud, insurance fraud, and racketeering. One
of her cases, resulted in the return of approximately $25
million in cash and assets back to the victim.
Stacey has lectured at numerous continuing education seminars
and taught as an Adjunct Professor with Florida Atlantic
University. In 2010, the History Channel featured a
Racketeering case which she personally handled from
investigation to successful jury verdict. She was also honored
by the community with a Recognition Award for years of
commitment, dedication, and outstanding service.
